Transistir Social Tech
What it is
Transistir Social Tech is the social tech company I co-founded, dedicated to developing hardware and software with a focus on decentralized technologies. The work happens side by side with indigenous organizations, research institutes and social movements — technology made with, not for.
Current and recent projects include:
- Kutary — mobile app for indigenous territorial data collection, with COIAB
- CadeiaDominial — web system for land-tenure analysis over Indigenous Lands (UFPA/FADESP)
- TerraLab — monitoring dashboard and participatory workshops with IEB
- Guardian Connector — territorial monitoring alerts and mapping interfaces
Guiding idea
The company takes its name from the essay An Invitation to Transistence:
Not a body that opposes until it exhausts itself, but a body that lets itself be crossed in order to reconfigure the field.
Technologies
- Free and open hardware and software
- Offline-first and low-power systems for field work
- Web platforms, dashboards and geodata (GeoJSON, KML, GPX)
