CadeiaDominial

What it is

CadeiaDominial is a web system for analyzing the land-tenure chain (cadeia dominial) of real estate properties that overlap Indigenous Lands, developed under the UFPA/FADESP project for land-tenure analysis in indigenous territories.

Phase 1 (2025) delivered the original system — now in production — with the ownership-chain tree, notary records, chain-end analysis and PDF report generation. Phase 2 (contract signed in May 2026, ongoing) covers interface and usability improvements, new features and maintenance.

Why it matters

Overlapping property titles are one of the engines of territorial conflict in the Amazon. Making the ownership chain readable and auditable gives indigenous organizations and public bodies a technical instrument to contest illegal titles.
