Guardian Connector

What it is

Guardian Connector work develops monitoring solutions for indigenous and community territories: mapping interfaces, alert panels and incident annotation flows used by territorial guardians. The effort is framed by a partnership agreement between COIAB and Capacity for Indigenous Territory Monitoring Solutions Development, alongside partner organizations such as IEPE, Mulokot, MMGB, NNDFN and SRDC.

My role covers product and interface work: alert pages with dynamic statistics, incident sidebars (type, status, responsible people, evidence, impact), pen-tool area selection on maps, and export flows (CSV, KML, GPX, GeoJSON, maps and HTML/PDF/Markdown reports).

Why it matters

Territorial guardians respond to invasions, illegal logging and mining. Fast, readable alerts and well-structured evidence turn monitoring data into action — and into cases that can be taken to authorities.
